Happy Post: It's back on!!!

If you remember last year, I set myself the birthday goal of doing something for charity that didn't just involve donating money, and so I put my name down to do the Pretty Muddy 5k race for life in aid of Cancer Research.

And then ...

It all went a bit tits up!

A few weeks after the 'incident that shall not be named' my fracture clinic doctor eventually said an emphatic 'no' to the idea of a race/assault course, and so the idea was shelved.  However, several lovely people had already sponsored me to the tune of over £100, and I really didn't want to let them down, so now my shoulder is about as healed as it's going to be - the race is back on!

Therefore, on the 21st September, I shall be running the Basingstoke 5k Pretty Muddy race for Cancer Research, along with my friend and neighbour, Becky.  It'll be great to finally get it done, considering it's been nearly 18 months since I first decided to do it.

If any of you fancy sponsoring me for this ritul humiliation, the link is below:

Anything you can spare for this great cause will be gratefully received, and even if you can't - your best wishes for me to finish the race in one piece will also be appreciated!!!
