It looks like the holiday rush on the Island has already started, here's the view while I was waiting to get on the ferry home ...

I'd already been in the queue for thirty minutes at this stage!
The plus side of this was that I had plenty of time to think and ponder while I was waiting and so, here is a little drabble I wrote in transit for the Fanfic.net weekly challenge. The challenge word was 'moist'.

Dean shifted uncomfortably and chanced a sly glance across to Sam sitting beside him on the couch.
Eyes suspiciously moist, Sam pointedly avoided Dean's gaze.
"Ahem, you okay Sam?" Dean asked, cringing at the quiver in his voice.
Forcing a fake smile, Sam nodded; visibly fortifying himself before speaking.
"Yeah m'good."
"Palming his wet cheeks, Dean sighed shakily. "Damn dust in this place; we should clean more often."
"Yeah," *sniff* "damn dust," Sam replied with a nod.
A loaded silence fell between them before Dean spoke again.
"Sam," he murmured.
"Yeah?"
"Let's not ever watch 'Marley and Me' again. Okay?"
