Snowflake Day 12

Day 12 - In your own space, post a rec for fannish spaces and resources - comms, challenges, twitters, tumblrs, etc

My fandom home is Livejournal; I don't do Twitter or Tumblr, there's just too much unpleasantness and crazy there, so these recs are all for Livejournal based communities and challenges:

Summergen challenge runs every year, in the summer, and is a gen fic challenge - the name says it all really!  It always produces a treasure trove of the highest quality fic.  It really is one of the best challenges on Livejournal.

Another great challenge, and one I always look forward to participating in.  This one is for the writers and artists out there, and again produces a very high calibre of fanworks.

Read a story years ago? Want to read it again, but can't remember where it is or what it's called.  No problem, these guys will find it for
you.  A brilliant resource which I've used (successfully) several times.

Okay, I have to add this community in.  Spn_Bigpretzel's raison d'etre is to celebrate 'the sunnier side of Supernatural'.  I've described
it many times as my spiritual home on Livejournal, and I am proud to co-mod this wonderful community which has been running for
almost five years.  The comm welcomes all sorts of fanworks that are lighthearted, funny, cracky, fluffy or generally sweet.  We have
drabble challenges, mini bangs, fic exchanges and all manner of fun and frolics, come on over and take a look!

And I couldn't let any collection of comm. recs go without giving this little corner of crazy an honourable mention. Three ladies (of which I am one), and a lot of little Funko dolls, including several incarnations of mini Team Free Will, spreading the fun and whimsy far and wide.  Over 100 people watch our little madhouse and follow the regular shenanigans where quirkiness and absurdity rule and where our mini-boys engage in such regular fun and frolics as Caption Competitions, MiniLympics, Cooking with Crowley, Guess the Episode and Teeny Weeny Halloweeny.
