A duo of drabbles ...

Here are a couple of little drabbly things I wrote for this weekend's drabble challenges:

For the spn_bigpretzel Drabbles Every Weekend (DEW) challenge.  The challenge character was Death and the theme was Weekends:

WEEKENDER

Rating: K+
Genre: Humour
Character: Death
Spoilers/Warnings: None
Word Count: 100
Disclaimer: I don't own him

Death couldn’t really see the appeal  of weekends, and yet people loved them.

He hadn’t had a single day off since the dawn of time; although he had once taken a lunchbreak one Tuesday afternoon during the late Cambrian, and what a pointless exercise that had been .  Not a Taco Bell in sight.

But weekends were here to stay, and those pitiful little earthbound minions would continue to enjoy them, playing their dangerous sports, partying way too hard, eating too much greasy food, and drinking gallons of liver-rotting alcohol.

So, Death mused, maybe those pesky weekends did come in handy after all.

For the Fanfiction.net weekend challenge.  Challenge of the week: use two words that are the exact opposite of each other

SIBLING RIVALRY

"I've always been stronger than you," Dean goaded Sam gleefully.

"Get over it, pipsqueak," Sam snorted in reply; "I could kick your stunted ass into next week and you know it!"

"You're a great long, weak-assed girl, Sammy," Dean smirked; "you always were."

"Okay, tough guy," Sam snapped; "if you're so strong, prove it." With that, he dropped to the ground, effortlessly delivering twenty rapid-fire push-ups.

"Your turn dude."

Dean hesitated, glaring at Sam's smug grin before reluctantly sinking to his hands and knees.

Nnnnnnnnnggggggghh … gaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh-gggnnnnnnnnnnnuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh …

*pant* *pant*

Nnnnnnnnnggggggguuuuhh … GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHH …

Sam stared blankly at the sprawled and spent figure at his feet.

"one."
